Events

Our events have three main purposes:

  • To raise awareness about an educational theme that is important to SCEPTrE’s mission
  • To create resources for our wikis and E-Book
  • To provide our Fellows with an opportunity to broadcast their work
  • To foster collaboration with people who share our educational interests

We offer four types of event:

  • Seminars – practice, research or conceptually based these are filmed and from April 2009 they are also streamed
  • Conferences – provide an opportunity for sharing ideas and practices within and outside the university and enable us to explore particular educational themes
  • Academies – immersive experience academies are designed to encourage the development of new professional capability in areas that are related to SCEPTrE’s educational interest
  • Conversational ‘Drop Ins’ – these are a more informal way of sharing practice and discussing issues amongst the practice community involved in professional training at Surrey

The products of our seminars, conferences and academies are archived our wikis.
