• An Access Grid Node (sophisticated group video conferencing facility via the internet), one of the first in the UK dedicated to teaching and collaborative learning.
• Live video streaming.
• IP videoconferencing.
• Interactive (virtual) whiteboards – to facilitate demonstration, sharing and co-creation of ideas and information.
• Toshiba tablet PCs – to facilitate teacher and student interaction with whiteboard facilities.
• Samsung Laptops – ideal for group work and training courses.
• Software that allows users to share information from one computer to another.
• Voting Systems.
• Sanyo Digital Cameras.
• Digital Voice Recorders.
• One of the rooms has a facility for recording sessions for subsequent play-back. We also have the equipment software and a small AVS team who can develop and edit a variety of professional digital media which can be used as teaching aids.
